UltraRAG

A low-code RAG development framework built on the Model Context Protocol, letting a developer assemble retrieval-augmented-generation pipelines from independent MCP servers and orchestrate them with YAML.

UltraRAG

UltraRAG standardizes core RAG components, such as retriever and generation, as independent MCP servers, combined with an MCP client's workflow orchestration, so conditional branches and loops can be built through YAML configuration instead of code. It was built for research exploration and industrial prototyping by THUNLP at Tsinghua University, NEUIR at Northeastern University, OpenBMB and AI9stars.

A companion UI, UltraRAG UI, works as a visual RAG IDE combining orchestration, debugging and demonstration, with a pipeline builder that keeps canvas construction and code editing synchronized in real time, so pipeline parameters and prompts can be adjusted online.

It is written in Python and licensed under Apache-2.0.
