UncommonRoute

UncommonRoute is an automatic LLM router that plugs into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or the OpenAI SDK, running locally to send each request to a cheaper or stronger model depending on how complex the request is.

UncommonRoute

UncommonRoute routes coding-agent requests to different models by estimated complexity instead of sending everything to the most expensive configured model. Simple requests, such as trivial edits or short explanations, go to lightweight models; medium requests go to mid-tier models; complex requests escalate to the strongest configured model, with the decision made per request rather than fixed for a whole conversation. It does not replace Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, and does not attempt to make cheaper models behave like frontier ones.

It installs with pipx, and an init command walks through connecting and configuring Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or the OpenAI SDK; a doctor command runs a health check afterward. On a held-out 100-case SWE-bench Verified split, its trained router matched the number of tasks solved by an Opus-only setup while lowering measured API cost.

    github.com

A stateless, multi-provider .NET AI gateway exposing normalized OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible endpoints, managed agents and skills across a very large catalog of models.

  • Unified AI System

    happy520ai.github.io

A self-hosted, protocol-first AI gateway and agent control plane for OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, MCP and A2A, turning a rough request into a structured, reviewable prompt before it runs.

  • Subroute

    github.com

A local AI gateway and desktop control desk that gives coding tools one steady endpoint, so switching between AI subscriptions, API providers and local models doesn't mean reconfiguring every client.
