Unity MCP Server

Unity MCP Server connects Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, or any Model Context Protocol client to the Unity Editor and Unity Hub, exposing more than 330 tools across more than 30 categories. It covers Unity Hub editor and module management, scene creation and hierarchy inspection, GameObject and component manipulation, asset and material management, C# script creation and editing, multi-platform builds, console and compilation feedback, profiling, shader editor control, terrain sculpting, physics, NavMesh baking, animation, and multiplayer playmode scenarios.

Commands flow from an AI chat through the MCP server and a Unity plugin bridge directly into the running editor in real time, letting an assistant build a full scene, sculpt terrain, write and wire up scripts, and run a playthrough without the developer leaving their AI chat.

It is free and open source, written in JavaScript.
