VecStore

An embeddable vector database written in Rust, for storing vectors alongside metadata, searching for similar records, and keeping the data inside your own application, with optional Python and WebAssembly interfaces.

VecStore

VecStore is an embeddable vector database for Rust applications, with optional Python and WebAssembly bindings. It stores vectors alongside metadata, supports metadata-filtered similarity search, and persists to disk so a store can be reopened later.

The project is alpha software at version 0.1.x; its APIs and file formats can still change. Optional GPU, server, embedding, and distributed components exist as separate dependencies beyond the default Rust quick start. A hybrid retrieval example and browser/WebAssembly and Python guides are included, along with benchmark harnesses for measuring recall and latency on a user's own workload and hardware.

It is developed with Rust 1.92 and later, tested with cargo test and cargo fmt, and licensed under MIT.
