vibing.nvim
A Neovim plugin that runs Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot or Grok as chat buffers with direct access to the editor: reading and writing buffers, running Ex commands and querying the live LSP for diagnostics and definitions.
vibing.nvim gives an AI backend direct access to a running Neovim instance rather than sending it a static snapshot of the buffer. The model can read and write buffers, execute Ex commands, and query the live LSP for diagnostics, definitions, references and symbols. Each chat is a plain Markdown buffer stored under .vibing/chat/, so it can be searched, version-controlled and edited with ordinary Neovim keymaps and motions.
Multiple concurrent chats can run at once, and one chat can spawn and direct worker chats before aggregating their results. Every turn ends with a Modified Files section; pressing a key opens a three-pane diff comparing the git tree at the start of the turn against the current state, so edits made through Bash commands are tracked the same way as direct file edits. Permissions are granted, denied or asked for per tool, path and command pattern without interrupting the current turn.
It requires Node.js for its MCP server and switches between Claude, Codex, Copilot and Grok backends globally or per chat.
