Vis
A coding agent that lets a developer write Python functions as tools, which the agent then chains, runs in parallel and inspects before deciding what to fold back into the conversation, following the same session across terminal, desktop and phone clients.
Vis is a coding agent designed around the idea that a capable model does not know a team's own conventions - which tests matter, how changes get reviewed, what must pass before a release - so Vis lets a developer encode that knowledge as Python tools the agent composes rather than as a growing list of reminders in a prompt. A function might select and run the right tests for a change, or a hook might check code after an edit and report problems; the developer defines the operations, and the model decides how to combine, run in parallel and inspect the results of the tools available to it.
Activities in the interface show each action, result and failure directly, with extensions choosing what to display, so a test result or build summary can be read without decoding a stream of raw shell output. The same session can be followed and continued from a terminal, desktop or phone client.
It installs as a native package for Apple Silicon macOS and Linux, bundling the engine, Python and a terminal client with no separate Java or Git dependency.
