Voicetree
A graph-based mindmap system, of markdown-file and terminal-agent nodes connected by edges, for building human-in-the-loop multi-agent coding systems that can recursively decompose tasks and share memory with a person.
Voicetree has two primitives, nodes and edges: a node is either a markdown file, a folder of nodes, or a terminal-based coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode or Gemini. A small API and a vt CLI operate on these primitives, from which agent swarms, recursive task decomposition, shared human-agent memory and self-improving workflows fall out as consequences, and because agents and humans act through the same API, an agent's own restructuring of the graph stays observable and stable.
The project's own comparison frames each pain point of coordinating several agent terminals, manual coordination, spatial overwhelm at four to ten terminals, agents not knowing what a person knows, and context rot over long sessions, against a graph-based answer: recursive subgraph spawning, spatial organization, a shared memory graph, and short, focused sessions with automatic handover between them.
The project is an early-beta tool built and used daily by its own team for AI forecasting and research, and the maintainers describe development as uneven as a result.
