Waku

A native desktop app, built in Rust with GPUI, for working with local coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex CLI and Cursor CLI in one place.

Waku

Waku is a native desktop application for managing coding-agent sessions. It keeps projects, sessions and transcripts on the user's machine and detects installed agent CLIs automatically, including Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor CLI and OpenCode, using each provider's native protocol and session continuity.

From one interface, a user can switch models, reasoning effort and access modes, queue or steer follow-up messages while an agent works, and rewind Git-backed tasks with conversation-aware checkpoints. Internally the desktop app is an RPC client of a standalone daemon process that owns task data, attachments, provider sessions and filesystem or Git operations; a browser client is also available. It stores state locally and does not require a Waku account or remote service.
