wigolo
A local-first web-intelligence toolkit for AI coding agents, providing search, fetch, crawl, extract, cache and research tools over MCP with no API keys or per-query cost.
wigolo runs as an MCP server next to a coding agent, as a REST or MCP endpoint for self-hosted agents, or embedded through an SDK inside another app. Its core tools need no API keys, nothing it touches leaves ~/.wigolo/, and no bill grows with how much an agent uses it.
Running npx wigolo init sets up the local engine, downloading a browser engine and on-device models and running a health check; adding --agents=claude-code,cursor (or other named agents such as Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed or Antigravity) wires those agents' MCP config in the same run. Any other MCP client or agent framework, including LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, the Vercel AI SDK or n8n, can register it manually.
It requires Node 20 or newer and about 1.5GB of free disk space, and is written in TypeScript.
