Wove

An open-source desktop AI coding agent that connects directly to any model provider with the user's own API key, writing code, running commands and browsing the web to verify its own work.

Wove

Wove is an open-source desktop AI coding agent, built on Wave Terminal, that connects directly to a chosen AI provider using the user's own API key rather than routing through a vendor's proxy. It reads a project's conventions and similar files for style before writing or editing code, and enforces reading a file before it can be modified.

It runs commands in a real terminal, executes the test suite and linter, and will not report a task as done without running at least one verification step; large edits are staged rather than rewriting whole files. A built-in browser with vision lets it open pages, click, fill forms and take screenshots to check its own work or test a web app. It supports Claude, GPT, Gemini, MiniMax and Ollama, and is Apache-2.0 licensed.
