Zeraix

An open-source AI desktop application for working with local language models, files, tools and agents, with local inference as its core and optional connections to cloud models and services.

Zeraix

Zeraix is a desktop workspace for downloading and running GGUF models on the user's own hardware, with hardware-aware recommendations and no required account, subscription or API key for its local core. It reads, searches and edits project files, inspects diffs, runs terminal commands and uses browser tools from the same conversation, sharing execution and permission handling with its Rust agent runtime.

Sub-agents can be delegated work, inspected and stopped individually, with configurable trust levels from full automation to manual approval or a plan-only mode. It bundles skills for editing Word documents, PDFs, presentations and spreadsheets, a media library for generated and uploaded assets, and support for local or remote MCP servers, with an optional QEMU sandbox for isolating supported commands. Local inference and local tools work offline after setup; web search, remote MCP servers and cloud models need network access.
