Zero

A terminal coding agent that inspects a repository, edits files and runs commands under a configurable permission and sandbox policy, working with a choice of model provider.

Zero

Zero is an AI coding agent for the local terminal. It can inspect a repository, edit files, run shell commands, and use browser and terminal helper tools while keeping durable local sessions, letting the user choose the underlying model and the permission level the agent runs under. Unsafe or fully autonomous modes are explicit opt-ins rather than defaults, and secrets are redacted from tool output and logs wherever Zero controls that surface.

Its built-in web-fetch tool refuses loopback, private and other special-use addresses, resolving and validating a URL's host before connecting to guard against a name resolving to something unexpected; a configured HTTP or HTTPS proxy changes that guarantee, since the proxy then decides which address is actually reached. Zero reads project- and personal-instruction files such as AGENTS.md into its system prompt, and it is written in Go.
