zoetrope

A terminal and browser tool that reads a Claude Code or Codex session transcript and draws it as a live, replayable flow graph of the main agent, the agents it spawns, and the tools each one runs.

zoetrope

zoetrope reads the transcript that Claude Code or Codex writes for every session and renders it as a graph in the terminal, showing the main agent, any agents it spawns, and the tools each one runs, updating live as a session progresses. Pointed at a finished run it replays the session paced by its own timestamps; pointed at a running session it follows along. It is read-only, and nothing leaves the machine running it; the same binary also compiles to WASM for a browser version, where dropping a transcript file on the page produces the same graph with no install.

It is built on the ratatui and rataflow terminal-UI libraries and reads a session file from either Claude Code's or Codex's session directory, detecting the format from its content. A plugin for Herdr, a terminal multiplexer built for running coding agents side by side, opens the exact session for a focused agent pane with one keypress.

It installs with Homebrew, with Cargo, or from prebuilt binaries for macOS, Linux and Windows.
