Ablation

Ablation is a reverse engineering framework offering the same core disassembly, decompilation and binary analysis capabilities as tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro and Binary Ninja, that becomes a fully autonomous reverse engineering tool when paired with Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.

Ablation

Rather than parsing an entire binary into a database up front the way Ghidra or IDA Pro do, Ablation only analyzes the functions currently being worked on, so a fifty megabyte binary can be loaded in tens of seconds instead of hours. A BERT-based semantic search finds functions by meaning rather than exact keyword, aimed at speeding up the search for vulnerable functions during an audit.

Other capabilities include version diffing that measures how much a function's behavior actually changed between releases using Jaccard similarity and dynamic time warping, so a cosmetic recompile cannot hide an unpatched vulnerability, cross-binary analysis of every shared library in a firmware image at once, a security-focused source code audit mode that scores each file's risk, a Windows kernel driver analyzer that maps IOCTLs and flags signed drivers vulnerable to BYOVD attacks, and Erlang and BEAM binary analysis.

It is written in Python.

An interactive debugger for the Mornington Crescent esoteric programming language that visualizes program execution as a route through the London Underground map.

A macOS app that gives coding agents such as Claude Code a persistent visual workspace, so an agent can build interactive pages, tools, and diagrams that stay wired to the underlying repo.
