abtop

A terminal monitor for AI coding agent sessions, similar to htop, showing Claude Code, Codex CLI and OpenCode token usage, context-window percentage, rate limits, child processes and open ports in real time.

abtop

abtop is a terminal monitoring tool for AI coding agents, modeled on system monitors such as htop or btop. It discovers active Claude Code, Codex CLI and OpenCode sessions from local process and file state, so it can show token usage, context-window percentage, rate limits, child processes and open ports for every running agent session across macOS, Linux and Windows at a glance.

It is read-only and requires no API keys or authentication. It can launch as an interactive terminal UI, print a one-time snapshot as text or JSON for use in scripts, install a hook for rate-limit collection, and jump directly to the terminal running a selected agent session inside cmux, tmux or iTerm2 on macOS.

It is written in Rust and distributed as prebuilt binaries or through Cargo, Homebrew, or the AUR.
