AI Code Stitcher & Stitch Viewer
A clipboard-monitoring tool that watches for code copied from any LLM chat, parses unified diffs, patches or full snippets, and applies them to the right files in an existing codebase automatically.
AI Code Stitcher watches the system clipboard for code copied from an LLM such as Claude, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Cursor or Aider. When code is copied, it parses out the actual code blocks, figures out whether they are a unified diff, an Aider patch, a full updated class or a new function, then scans the local project to find where that code belongs, aligns indentation, removes placeholder comments such as existing-code markers, and writes the change to disk.
It runs as an interactive terminal application that indexes the folders a user tells it to monitor, and includes an internal backup system so a patch can be rolled back or redone with a keyboard shortcut. A companion application, Stitch Viewer, visualizes and edits the applied changes. Recent versions add support for GDScript, single-block markdown parsing, multi-file processing and alignment fixes.
It is written in Python and MIT licensed.
