Boa

An experimental JavaScript lexer, parser and interpreter written in Rust, supporting more than 90% of the current ECMAScript specification and embeddable as a Rust crate.

Boa

Boa is a JavaScript engine written in Rust, implementing a lexer, parser and interpreter that covers more than 90% of the latest ECMAScript specification, with ongoing work to keep up with the evolving standard.

It is published as several crates: boa_engine for executing ECMAScript, boa_ast for its abstract syntax tree, boa_parser for lexing and parsing, boa_cli for a command-line REPL, boa_gc for its garbage collector, boa_runtime for WebAPI-style features, plus supporting string-interning and string-implementation crates. Adding boa_engine to a Rust project's Cargo.toml embeds the engine to execute JavaScript from Rust code.

It compiles to WebAssembly, with a live browser playground, and tracks its ECMAScript conformance against the Test262 suite.
