cronboard

A terminal dashboard for creating, editing and monitoring cron jobs on local and remote servers over SSH, built with Textual.

cronboard

cronboard is a terminal application for managing and scheduling cron jobs on local and remote servers. From its Textual-based interface a user can add, edit, pause, resume, search and delete jobs, view formatted last and next run times, and enter special expressions such as daily, yearly or monthly schedules.

It connects to remote servers over SSH using either a password or SSH keys, looking for known hosts in the default location, and can manage another user's cron jobs when the operator has the necessary sudo permissions. Path autocompletion speeds up entering file paths when creating or editing jobs, starting from the home directory of whichever user's crontab is being edited, and cronboard can send a Telegram notification when a job fails.

cronboard needs cron installed on the machine it manages, and Python 3.13 or newer if installed with pip or uv. It is built with Textual, python-crontab, Paramiko and cron-descriptor, and is released under the Apache-2.0 license.
