Embassy
An async embedded framework for Rust, using compile-time task scheduling and hardware abstraction layers to write embedded code without a traditional RTOS.
Embassy is a framework for embedded applications built on Rust's async/await, letting tasks be written as ordinary async functions that the compiler turns into cooperatively scheduled state machines, without dynamic memory allocation or per-task stack tuning, replacing the need for a traditional RTOS with kernel context switching.
It ships hardware abstraction layers for microcontroller families including STM32, Nordic nRF52/53/54/91, Raspberry Pi RP2040/RP23xx, Texas Instruments MSPM0, NXP MCX-A, Espressif ESP32 (through a related project), WCH's CH32V RISC-V chips, Microchip's PolarFire SoC, Puya's PY32 and Renesas RA microcontrollers, alongside time utilities and multiple prioritized executors for real-time scheduling.
