FlatBuffers flatc API for Rust

A Rust crate that calls the FlatBuffers flatc compiler from a build script to generate Rust, or other language, code from .fbs schema files.

FlatBuffers flatc API for Rust

flatc-rust wraps the flatc command-line compiler so it can be invoked programmatically, typically from a project's build.rs, to generate FlatBuffers language bindings as part of a normal cargo build rather than as a manual step. It still requires a separate flatc installation of version 1.10.0 or newer, available as prebuilt Windows binaries or through Debian, Arch Linux and conda packages.

While aimed at generating Rust code, the underlying flatc compiler can target other languages as well, so the crate can drive code generation for those from the same build-script integration.

It is dual-licensed under the Apache License 2.0 and the MIT license, and its API design was inspired by protoc-rust, protoc and capnpc.
