GenPy: An AST for Python

A small library that provides an abstract syntax tree for Python, used to generate structured Python source code programmatically instead of assembling strings by hand.

GenPy: An AST for Python

genpy offers a simple abstract syntax tree for Python code, letting a program build up Python source structurally and then render it, rather than concatenating strings by hand.

It is distributed on the Python Package Index and installs with pip install genpy. Development happens on both GitHub and a GitLab instance, each running its own continuous-integration pipeline, and releases are archived on Zenodo with a DOI.

The project is licensed under the MIT license, free for commercial, academic and private use, and all of its dependencies install automatically from the package index alongside it.
