Jep

A Java library that embeds the CPython interpreter through JNI, letting Java programs call native Python modules and extensions directly.

Jep

Jep (Java Embedded Python) embeds CPython inside a JVM through JNI, so a Java application can run native Python code and import native or pure Python modules instead of going through a separate process or a bridge protocol. It ships with an interactive console similar to Python's own REPL for exploring embedded scripts.

The library supports multiple simultaneous, mostly sandboxed sub-interpreters as well as shared interpreters when isolation is not needed, and it provides NumPy support so Java primitive arrays can be exchanged with Python code.

Jep is written in C and requires Python 3.10 or newer and Java 1.8 or newer, with NumPy 1.7 or newer as an optional dependency; it installs as a Python package.
