logana

A terminal log analyzer that turns files, compressed archives, Docker containers or OpenTelemetry streams into structured, filterable, annotatable data, with an MCP server for exporting findings to an AI assistant.

logana

logana turns log sources such as files, compressed archives, Docker containers or OpenTelemetry streams into structured, filterable and annotatable data in a terminal UI. It parses JSON, syslog, journalctl, logfmt, OpenTelemetry, DLT or a custom field schema, supports vim-style navigation, and can jump straight to the next error or warning.

Filters, marks and scroll position persist automatically across sessions, and findings can be annotated and exported to Markdown or Jira, or exposed to an AI assistant through a built-in MCP server. A headless mode runs the full filter pipeline without the terminal UI for scripting large logs; the project reports filtering a 3.3 GB, ten-million-line access log about ten times faster than a common alternative log viewer on the same query. It is written in Rust.
