MCP Go SDK

The official Go software development kit for building Model Context Protocol clients and servers, maintained in collaboration with Google.

MCP Go SDK

MCP Go SDK provides an mcp package for constructing and using MCP clients and servers, a jsonrpc package for implementing custom transports, an auth package with OAuth primitives, and an oauthex package with OAuth extensions such as protected-resource metadata. It aims to implement the full MCP spec, with documentation mapping the spec to each package.

Different SDK version ranges support different MCP spec versions back to 2024-11-05, and the roots, sampling and logging features are deprecated as of protocol version 2026-07-28 but remain supported during a twelve-month deprecation window. New SDK releases target only currently supported Go versions.

It is written in Go.
