OpenClip

OpenClip is an open-source macOS menu-bar utility that pops up contextual actions for selected text, such as copy, transform, calculation and AI-assisted writing, and supports custom extensions in JavaScript, AppleScript or shell.

OpenClip

OpenClip shows a floating action bar when you select text in any macOS app, offering actions such as copy, cut, math evaluation, text transforms and AI writing tools; actions that need no live selection fall back to the current clipboard contents. Pressing a shortcut turns the bar into a fuzzy-search palette over the entire action catalog, ranked by recency and bar order.

Zero-config builtins cover search, copy, cut, paste, services and text-case transforms. Extensions are JavaScript, AppleScript, shell scripts, URL templates, key presses or Shortcuts, installed from a built-in store, a file, or a dropped folder, with no compile step required. A built-in AI assistant can run selected text through Apple Intelligence, a local Ollama model or a cloud provider, with AI presets appearing as ordinary actions in the palette alongside app-specific rules and a Classic or Glass visual theme.
