OpenUsage

A free, open-source macOS menu bar app that tracks usage, credits, and spend across AI coding subscriptions such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, and OpenRouter.

OpenUsage

OpenUsage tracks how much of each AI coding subscription has been used, from the macOS menu bar. It shows session and weekly limits, credits, and spend for each connected provider in one popover, and pinned metrics can be shown directly in the menu bar as compact text or mini bars.

It supports providers including Antigravity, Claude, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, Devin, Grok, Ollama, OpenCode, OpenRouter, and Z.ai, reading most providers' usage from credentials already present on the machine, such as a keychain entry, an auth file, or app state, with OpenRouter and Z.ai as the exceptions that need a supplied API key since they have no local credential to reuse. A dashboard popover groups meters by provider with live reset countdowns and pace indicators, a global keyboard shortcut toggles the popover from anywhere, and providers and individual metrics can be turned on or off. It installs through Homebrew or as a direct download, and updates itself in place through signed, notarized updates.
