py-simple-wrap

A beginner-friendly Python toolbox of simple, plain-English-style functions for common tasks such as file handling, text processing, numbers, dates and basic web and image operations, meant to keep syntax out of the way for new programmers.

py-simple-wrap

py-simple-wrap wraps everyday Python tasks in simple, descriptively named functions across modules covering files, dates and time, numbers, lists, text, string slicing, conversions, validation, web and images, among others, so that using them reads close to plain English. It is aimed explicitly at people learning Python, wanting a low-friction way to build something before wrestling with more complex syntax.

The project documents each module and function on a dedicated documentation site, and is set up to welcome first-time open-source contributors, with labeled good-first-issue and first-contribution tasks.
