pydronecan

A Python implementation of the DroneCAN protocol stack, a lightweight CAN-bus communication protocol for aerospace and robotics, providing code generation, an interface and supporting utilities.

pydronecan

pydronecan implements version 1 of the DroneCAN protocol stack in Python, forked from an earlier UAVCAN implementation. DroneCAN is a lightweight protocol for reliable communication between devices in aerospace and robotic systems over a CAN bus, and this package provides the code generation, communication interface and utilities needed to work with it from Python.

It installs through pip and supports both Python 2.7 and Python 3.3 and newer, with no extra dependencies required when used with Python 3. The project documents an automated release process to PyPI through git tags, and its history traces back to earlier work by the UAVCAN development team.
