Salesforce DX MCP Server

The official Model Context Protocol server for Salesforce DX, letting large language models read, manage and operate Salesforce org resources securely through a configurable set of tools and toolsets.

Salesforce DX MCP Server

The server is configured per MCP client by editing its MCP JSON file, for example a .vscode/mcp.json entry that runs npx -y @salesforce/mcp with flags selecting a target org, toolsets such as orgs, metadata, data and users, and individual tools such as run_apex_test.

The -y flag lets npx install the package automatically instead of prompting, and available flags configure orgs, toolsets, tools and whether non-generally-available tools are allowed. Documentation in the Salesforce DX Developer Guide covers a security overview, a quick-start guide, example client configurations and sample prompts for invoking the core DX MCP tools.
