The Swift Package Index

The list of Swift package repositories that the Swift Package Index accepts and indexes, open for anyone to submit a package to, with requirements for inclusion such as a valid Package.swift file and a tagged semantic-version release.

The Swift Package Index

This repository is the canonical list of Swift packages indexed by the Swift Package Index. Anyone can submit a package, whether their own or someone else's, and there is no quality bar beyond a short set of requirements: the repository must be public, contain a valid Package.swift file in its root, be written in Swift 5.0 or later, have at least one release tagged as a semantic version, output valid JSON from the Swift package tool's dump-package command, and compile without errors.

The build system can generate and host DocC documentation for a listed package's page given some configuration data, and maintainers can add badges to their README to show their package's current Swift and platform compatibility. A package can also be removed from the index through a GitHub workflow.
