tldraw

A React SDK for building infinite-canvas applications, with primitives for custom shapes, tools and multiplayer collaboration.

tldraw

tldraw is an SDK for building infinite canvas applications in React. It provides a default whiteboarding tool set alongside lower-level primitives for building entirely custom canvas experiences, including custom shapes, tools, bindings and UI components.

The SDK supports self-hosted real-time multiplayer collaboration through a companion sync package, pressure-sensitive drawing, geometric shapes, rich text, arrows with snapping and edge scrolling, image and video embedding, and image export. A runtime Editor API drives the canvas programmatically, and the library includes primitives for building AI-integrated canvas features. Because it renders to the DOM, it can embed anything a browser supports, including live pages from YouTube, Figma and GitHub.

The project ships starter kits, installable with a single command, that provide the shapes, tools and UI needed for common canvas applications such as multiplayer whiteboards, AI agents that edit canvas content, and node-based workflow builders.
