tty7

tty7 is a Rust terminal emulator whose sessions live in a background server rather than the window, so shells, SSH connections and supported coding-agent sessions keep running after the window closes or the machine restarts.

tty7

tty7 is a terminal workbench written in Rust. A background server owns all shells and panes instead of the window, so sessions, SSH connections and supported coding-agent sessions survive a closed window or a reboot and can be resumed later. Rendering uses Zed's gpui, and its terminal core comes from Alacritty.

It tracks the status of coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex across repositories, and lets one agent open a pane, hand off a task to another agent, and read back the result. Other features include shell-integration prompt marks, fuzzy history search, a native SSH stack with SFTP and port forwarding, and native builds for macOS, Windows and Linux.
