AI Commits

An IntelliJ-based IDE plugin that generates a git commit message from the current diff using a configurable LLM provider, with a customizable prompt template.

AI Commits

AI Commits is a plugin for IntelliJ-based IDEs and Android Studio that generates a commit message by sending the current git diff to a configured LLM. It computes the diff only from the files and lines selected in the commit dialog, supports both Git and Subversion, and lets a user write their own prompt template with predefined variables.

Supported model providers include Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Claude Code and Codex CLI through their command-line tools, Gemini through Google AI or Vertex AI, GitHub Models, Hugging Face, Mistral AI, OpenAI, Ollama and Qianfan (Ernie), implemented generically through the langchain4j library. It installs from the JetBrains Marketplace or as a zip file, and supports IntelliJ IDEA, PhpStorm, WebStorm, PyCharm, RubyMine, CLion, GoLand, DataGrip, Rider and Android Studio.
