AsmDude2
A Visual Studio 2022 extension, built on a Language Server Protocol backend, that adds assembly-language syntax highlighting, code completion, and signature help for x86, x64, and AVX-512 code.
AsmDude2 is a natural evolution of its predecessor AsmDude, which was a single all-encompassing plugin for Visual Studio 2015, 2017, and 2019 supporting assembly source code. AsmDude2 is instead built around a Language Server Protocol backend paired with a lightweight Visual Studio extension for Visual Studio 2022, and not every feature from the older AsmDude has been ported over yet.
It supports syntax highlighting and code folding for x86 and x64 instruction sets as well as SSE, AVX, AVX2, Xeon Phi, and AVX-512 instructions, along with most common MASM directives and a selection of NASM directives. Hovering over a mnemonic shows a description, which can be customized by editing a data file installed alongside the plugin, and code completion narrows suggestions to relevant language keywords as text is typed, with signature help showing a method's parameters in a tooltip as they are entered. It also adds syntax highlighting to Visual Studio's disassembly window, though tooltips are not yet available there.
