AutoComplete

A Java code-completion library for Swing text components, with extra features when used with RSyntaxTextArea, offering a live completion list, documentation popups, and parameter assistance.

AutoComplete

AutoComplete is a code-completion library for Swing JTextComponents, with enhanced functionality for instances of RSyntaxTextArea. It shows a list of completion choices that updates as the user types, a companion documentation window describing the currently selected completion, and parameter assistance that lets users tab through a function or method's arguments with tooltips and, where available, a list of valid variable completions for each argument.

It is distributed through Maven Central, with SNAPSHOT builds of the in-development version hosted separately, builds with Gradle, requires Java 17 to build but runs on Java 8 or later, and ships a demo submodule with usage examples. Related sister projects from the same author add syntax highlighting and code folding, language-specific completion for several languages, spell checking, and common text-editing dialogs such as find, replace, and go-to-line.
