CopilotChat.nvim

CopilotChat.nvim brings GitHub Copilot Chat capabilities into Neovim, focused on transparency and user control. It supports multiple AI models available through GitHub Copilot, such as GPT-4o, Gemini 2.5 Pro and several Claude models, plus custom providers such as Ollama and Mistral.ai; the exact model list depends on a user's GitHub Copilot settings.

Its tool calling lets the model call workspace functions, such as reading files, running git operations or searching, with manual approval or automatic execution for tools a user trusts. It provides an interactive chat UI with completion, diffs and quickfix integration, composable prompt templates with sticky prompts for consistent context, and token-efficient history management using tiktoken counting. Automation and headless-mode operation are supported through a Lua API, and it can be extended with custom functions, providers and integrations such as mcphub.nvim.

It requires Neovim 0.10.0 or newer and is licensed under GPL-3.0.
