ElixirSense

ElixirSense is a library that provides the building blocks for Elixir developer tooling: code completion, documentation lookup, go-to-definition and function-signature information, combining AST inspection with runtime introspection.

ElixirSense

ElixirSense is an API, not an editor plugin itself, that other Elixir tooling builds on for code completion, documentation retrieval, go-to and jump-to-definition, and function signature information, using a combination of AST inspection and runtime introspection of a running Elixir environment.

It tracks the five most recent Elixir releases, each paired with the Erlang/OTP versions that Elixir itself supports and exercises in CI, and installs as a Git dependency rather than through Hex. Its expand feature was inspired by the mex tool, and the project's documentation and IEx autocompletion features build on modified source code from the Elixir and ExDoc projects, continuing work originally started in the alchemist-server project.
