IntelliJ LSP for Zed

An unofficial Zed extension that runs JetBrains' IntelliJ IDEA language server for Java and Kotlin, adding completion, navigation, refactoring and inspections.

IntelliJ LSP for Zed

IntelliJ LSP for Zed is an unofficial extension that connects the Zed editor to JetBrains' IntelliJ IDEA LSP server, bringing its code completion, navigation, refactorings, inspections and quick fixes for Maven, Gradle and Bazel Java and Kotlin projects into Zed.

The IntelliJ LSP server itself is proprietary JetBrains software, not open source, so the extension requires accepting the JetBrains EULA in Zed settings before the roughly 368 MB server is downloaded once from JetBrains' CDN and reused afterward. The extension never fetches the server from third-party registries; it either downloads the pinned build directly from JetBrains or uses a server the user already downloaded.

It can also be installed as a dev extension from a cloned checkout, with a pre-built extension.wasm already committed so no Rust toolchain is required.
