llm.nvim

A Neovim plugin that adds commands for chatting with, translating with and coding alongside large language models such as GPT, Copilot, ChatGLM, Kimi, DeepSeek, Gemini, Qwen or a local Ollama model, inside the editor.

llm.nvim

llm.nvim supports any configured LLM and lets a person define custom AI tools, with different tools able to use different models, including free models offered by platforms such as GitHub Models, SiliconFlow, OpenRouter or Cloudflare. Its features include chat, quick translation of the text under the cursor, code explanation, a one-time ask with no retained history, attaching context to a chat, side-by-side or diff-style code optimization, test-case generation, git commit message generation, doc-string generation, web search, and diagnostics.

Configuration covers the LLMs used, UI appearance, and AI tools such as code completion, with worked examples provided for common providers like Ollama and DeepSeek. It requires a valid LLM_KEY environment variable before use.
