A framework and hosted API for building AI agents that operate on websites, combining scripted automation with AI so routine steps run as code and models are used only where judgment is needed.

Notte

Notte is a framework for building and deploying AI agents that interact with websites. It combines deterministic scripting with AI so that routine steps run as code and models are used only where judgment is needed, aiming to cut costs while improving reliability.

The open-source core lets agents run web tasks from natural language instructions, return structured output using Pydantic models, and observe and act on pages through Playwright-compatible primitives. The hosted API service adds stealth browser sessions with CAPTCHA solving and proxies, credential vaults for stored logins, and digital personas with automated two-factor authentication for account workflows.

It ships as a Python package with a Node/TypeScript SDK, and can run agents locally or through the hosted service.

  • Hronaut

    hronaut.dev

A visible, persistent Electron browser that exposes durable, named agent workspaces over MCP, so a coding agent's browser session stays open and inspectable independently of any one AI conversation.

  • Prompt OS

    github.com

A desktop AI agent for Windows that executes terminal commands, manages files, writes and runs code, browses the web and reads the screen, acting on natural-language requests rather than only answering them.
