rune

A GPU-accelerated IDE and terminal multiplexer for both manual and agent-driven programming, with production-grade language intelligence built in.

rune

rune combines an IDE and a terminal multiplexer into one native application, aimed at both manual and automatic, agent-driven programming. Its interface organizes work into nine workspace slots holding an unlimited number of terminals, tabs and windows, alongside a built-in agent and IDE-grade skills.

All of a user's rune instances form an end-to-end encrypted peer network powered by the project's own headscale-based network, so a workstation, a laptop and other machines can reach each other directly. Functionality can be extended through official packages or by installing community packages straight from a Git repository.

rune renders natively with OpenGL on Linux and Metal on macOS rather than through Electron, is developed by Unstable Build, LLC, and is released under the GPL-3.0 license. It is written in Go.
