wgsl-analyzer

wgsl-analyzer is a language server implementation for WGSL, the WebGPU shading language, with early support for the WESL extended shading language. Since it speaks the Language Server Protocol, it works with any compatible editor, including VS Code, Vim, Emacs, and Zed, providing go-to-definition, type checking, code completion, and integrated diagnostics powered by naga.

It is structured internally as a set of libraries for analyzing WGSL code, similar in design to rust-analyzer, and ships with a VS Code extension. The language server and extension can be built and installed together with a single command, or built and packaged manually as either a platform-specific extension that bundles the server binary or a platform-independent one.

It is written in Rust.
